Supermoms Prequal/Intro

Another Patreon leak. Short thing I cranked out in about an afternoon. Based on an old 4chan project that got sort of dumped, but followed along with some of the threads and always thought the idea was neat. Any actual writing for it is lost as best I can tell, so thoughts are going to veer off from its origins pretty quickly.  It's more of fanfiction than genuine writing for it. Based on the entry from here:http://the-conservatory.wikia.com/wiki/Supermoms

"We're not through yet! Teen Queens! Get 'em!" Star Striker threw out a gloved hand and the girls flew into action. This was ironic since none of them technically flew, they were there to fight evil rather than argue semantics, and the interdimensional invaders weren't going to punch themselves! The humanoids made of pink crystal charged out of their portal, firing their laser beams at the defending heroines. Sig Rune and Star Striker lead the charge, the starred and striped teenager barely old enough to drive unleashing finely-honed martial arts to trip up two of the crystal golems in an instant. She leapt up and kicked with her reinforced boots to crack the gemstone on another where the face would have been. They weren't as solid as they looked, but not something she'd want to risk her knuckles on.
Not that it stopped Sig Run. The teenage Valkyrie gave a warcry that boomed through the battlefield, swinging her sword to cleave three of them in half with one stroke. She raised a buckler that despite it simple wood and iron look deflected several bursts of laser fire. She smashed the shield into one of the rigid foes, stunning it so she could grab its leg and lift it off its feet. "Follow me to Valhalla, battle sisters!" she bellowed before swinging it over her head and toppling another half dozen with the shockwave.
As several smaller crystals shot out of the portal, they started zipping through the air past the front-liners. "We got baddies in the air! Kaiju! Diva! Get on that!"
At their leader's command, Diva let out a shout of her own. While Sig's was big and menacing, hers came out as a sweet, melodic note. As she drew it out and tuned her alien throat, the seemingly African-American heroine conducted her voice into solid constructs of pure sound. The shimmering orbs formed in the air, shooting off to smash into the various flying crystals. "Watch out for the high notes!" she laughed before summoning another breath of devastatingly beautiful noise.
"Daijkaiju!" Kaiju pumped her fists together, the Asian girl growing ten stories tall in a matter of seconds. A swipe of her enormous hands smashed a number of the crystals to pieces. She stomped away at a few more invaders on the ground, but those nearby attacked her legs with burning beams and slashing crystal knives. They were tiny scratches to Kaiju, but Mend was quick to back her up.
With a loud smooching noise, the crystalline attackers were hurled back from Kaiju's ankles as Mend's forcefield came in between her and them and harmlessly absorbed the lasers. "Yea! Back off, you shiney jackasses!" laughed the redheaded tomboy. "You know I got  your back, Kai!" She patted Kaiju on the leg, the pink-clad titaness taking care to stand still a moment and let Mend kiss her on the ankle. There was a faint sparkling look as the healing effect of her kiss took place, literally kissing it and making it better.
"My thanks," Kaiju replied stiffly.
"No sweat!" Mend grabbed one of the shattered crystal aliens' arms and spun around to smash it into another's face. Just because she was the team healer didn't mean she didn't love a good scrap.
"We've got more incoming!" Star Striker barked out as she leapt up, acrobatically catching one of the charging golems' heads between her legs and flipping it over to shatter a chunk of it against the ground. "Can we get some cover on the portal?!"
"Anything for you, chica!" Tropica spotted the few small gardens and trees that line the city street, pointing stylishly at the alien gateway. "PUERARIA MONTANA!"
As the Spanish girl clad in the simple green leotard and a mask over the top of her face called their Latin name, kudzu vine burst out nearly every source of soil in sight and started spreading across the portal. Normal plants wouldn't have done much to stall them, but with her magic pouring more strength and even more rapid growth into them, the invaders were finding their portal turning into one big green fishing net.
One more managed to force its way through the web of mystical vines, but it was a doozie. It was even bigger than Kaiju and dotted with spikes and bulged that equated to armor on these creatures. It let out a mouthless bellow as the girls sized it up together.
Diva floated down on a shimmering yellow platform before she broke her note to speak, letting it vanish from sight. "Looks like they're startin' to take us seriously."
"Good!" Mend hissed, beating her fist into her palm. "Finally get the big one!"
"Aye. It is as though five jotuns atop one another," Sig Rune added as she stepped up. She glanced over it before sliding her shield onto her back and drawing her mace to accompany her sword instead.
Star Striker was already done assessing the situation as it dragged itself through the portal. "Kaiju? Tropica? Do you see the glow around the left shoulder?"
"Hai. What about it?" Kaiju asked, kneeling down to be close enough to hear the team better.
"Is it magical? And can you tell if it syncs up with the portal?"
"Yea, it looks like the same kind of mojo," Tropica confirmed through her mystical senses. "You think that's the key?"
"Exactly. We get that and we just might shut the portal."
"Beats fighting the darn thing," Diva mused as she got into a ready position.
"Says you. At least you can reach him. Need a leg up, Stars?"
"Don't mind if I do," Striker nodded. Mend put a hand to her superhumanly pouty lips and blew a kiss into the air, creating a faintly visible bubble to go with the smooching noise. She tossed one after another, creating barriers in the air which Star Striker started to acrobatically climb and leap from one to another.
Kaiju rose and locked up with the giant golem, grabbing at its arms to halt it in its tracks. She grit her teeth and struggled as pavement crumbled under her booted heels, sweating in effort just to slow it down.
"DIONAEA MUSCIPULA!" A long vine shot up her legs, shivering from the odd sensation of it rapidly growing along her body and up her arm. As it reached her wrist, the vine sprouted a pair of oversized venus flytraps that started chomping off pieces of the golem's chest. It gave another echoing bellow as it recoiled, granting Kaiju a moment to smash her fist into its midsection and knock it back a few thundering paces.
Diva hit another long, piercing note, summoning several huge chains of her solidified sound to wrap around its arms and legs to trap it in place.
"Ha! T’is bound as Fenrir!" Sig laughed as she leapt from the nearby rooftop. She landed on its struggling arm, bracing her booted feet and smashing her mace onto it until cracks and chunks sprang from its glowing target. The golem gave another raging roar and pulled its arm hard enough to send Sig Rune flying and crashing into a small crater a block away. She'd be fine, so more importantly, she'd torn open a huge piece of its crystal shell. Mend conjured one more barrier for Striker to bound off of, diving down and kicking straight inside, vanishing for a few moments before the creature crumbled and its portal faded to the cheers of the six teenagers who formed the Teen Queens.
"That was amazing!" Mend laughed as she shook her head, shedding concrete dust and pink crystal alike. "That sucker was like BOOOOHDJ!"
"Indeed," Sig Rune said plainly a nod, sitting on the floor of the abandoned warehouse casually. It was one of their favored places to stash civilian clothes, and there were several rooms so they could have a bit of privacy when swapping costumes. Of course, dressed as she was, Tropica wasn't especially shy about anything she was wearing.
"You know, girls... I've been thinking. And I think the rest of you have too." Star Striker, known only to her teammates as Beverly Banks, always caught their attention. She was caring, generous, selfless and insightful. "A bit of a goody two-shoes," as Mend would put it sometimes. They were quiet to hear their de facto leader's words.
"How long have we been at this? Almost three years?" Bev went on. "And we've done a whole lot of good." The girls met that claim with small chuckles and nods. "But we're still in high school. We've got lives. We've got jobs and graduation coming. Candy, you've got a singing career, and Nan fell asleep during a test the other day."
"To be fair, I probably would have anyway," Anne added with a freckled grin. "But I get ya."
Beverly sighed as she stuffed her mask into her gym bag. "We can't keep doing this forever. I want to go to college and raise a family. I'm definitely not going to do that if I go out every night looking for crime that doesn't alway happen."
The group looked to Annemarie, who showed her lack of objection with a shrug. They turned to Sig Rune, who was very secretly Sigrun Odinsdaughter and the lost valkyrie from the realm of the gods. If any would resent putting away the costumes, it would be the battle-hungry demigoddess.
"You have all been mighty comrades... if not true divine warriors like myself." That had been an amusing first meeting when she'd misread the wanted ad. "But I do miss the land of the Allfather. I have enjoyed my stay in the mortal realm, but I should seek his wisdom and return to him," Sigrun confessed.
Kim, glad to be rid of the skimpy skirt of her magical Kaiju outfit, rested a consoling hand on her shoulder. "It doesn't mean we'll stop seeing each other."
"Are you kidding?" Candy smiled as she tucked the last of her Diva spandex into her backpack. "As soon as you're all eighteen, I'm buying drinks for everyone."
"But the drinking age is twenty-one," Beverly pointed out, even if she got a very confused look from Sigrun by saying so.
"I know what I said," Candy grinned wider, getting her a high-five from Annemarie.
"You're all some of the worst good girls I know," Carmen chuckled, hugging Diva from behind before grabbing Anne to drag her into it. "I'm never forgetting any of you locos, or the evil punks we've stopped from taking Saphire City from us."
The girls piled into a quick group hug before saying their goodbyes for the night. A few would keep up the superhero business for a little while more, but Bev had started the end of the Teen Queens.
Twenty years later...
The costume certainly didn’t fit like a glove, but as Beverly Banks still fit into her old costume. “I’m sure the shorts didn’t ride up this much back then,” she muttered, tugging on the elastic material under her cape. It left a bit more to the imagination back then, but she’d gotten married and raised two teenagers. Of course she’d put on a little weight. But the world needed more heroes, and the girls weren’t exactly the Teen Queens anymore. They would have to become the Supermoms.
